Hello World,
I guess the best thing to do is to start with a short and brief introduction; my name is Christopher Waywell (as if you couldn’t have figured that out yourself…), I’m currently 19 years of age and am studying Media Practice at the University of the West of England (UWE for short) in Bristol. I have one sister and originate from Watchet, Somerset (though originally born in Bath and having lived in Bridgwater for 9 poor long years) where I lived with my parents and the animals we managed to ‘collect’ over the years. I am now currently residing in a UWE managed house in the heart of Bristol with 6 of the best house mates on the planet and I’m sure I will post pictures of our upcoming events.
The main reason for starting this blog was purely a good use of my webspace for once rather than just a means of storage; I figured if I’m going to constantly maintain a URL and server I may as well do something relatively worth while with it. Granted, this may not be that worth while, but hell, it’s better than a blank index page right? That said, it would be a fairly large miracle if I actually keep this up-to-date; upon writing this that is my intention but we shall actually see if I am able to stick to that. I intend on using this blog to document my day-to-day life so I have something to look back on in the future when I’m feeling a little reminiscent. However, I also intend on using it as a means of demonstrating my works, abilities and as a portfolio, so expect to see various flash animations, story boards and video clips popping up all over the place!
I guess I could also use this time briefly to mention a little about my interests as these will form the integrity of this blog. I am a very keen gamer both online and off and enjoy a damned good film (hence the media course
). I also LOVE enjoying life in general and am up for almost anything provided I can have a damned good time doing it and especially if alcohol is involved!
Anyways, I think I have probably said enough for an opening blog post, so I shall leave you with that.
Peace,
Chris
